Toussaint Dubois is a humble hospital worker with a haunted past. Before pulling janitorial duty, he was the lead singer of the famous band The Saints. But the band broke up over -- what else? -- a woman. Toussaint's successes and failures gave him the wisdom he passes on to various hospital staffers as they face their own pitfalls. On "Night Shift," he teaches everyone to dream big -- even if his own dreams passed him by. On the bright side, Toussaint's flirtation with Nurse Epiphany Johnson could lead to a love he never expected at this point in his life.
Our Take: Toussaint is the wisest guy ever to push a mop.
Your Take: Will Toussaint and Epiphany end up together?

Kimberly McCullough

This girl's come a long way. As a teen, she got wrapped up with Stone Cates and wound up with HIV. Stone's death crushed Robin.
She took up with Jason during his illness, but his iffy lifestyle choices -- you know, like being a mobster -- forced her to throw him over and run off to Paris (where she became a doctor). Nice work if you can get it. Jason's not out of her life for good, though. We don't blame her for being a sucker for that guy.
Paris and Port Charles both call to her. She bounced back and forth, until Jason needed her medical expertise and she weighed anchor Stateside for good. This plucky physician can handle anything tossed her way -- virus outbreaks and hostage situations, even briefly bringing Laura Spencer out of her coma. Robin's HIV status has created a lot of drama on the job, but even more in her affairs of the heart: She and hot-shot surgeon Patrick Drake define on-again, off-again. But now they're connected like never before because Robin's got a baby on the way.
Our Take: HIV doesn't define Robin -- she does.
Your Take: Will Patrick and Robin ever just be happy?
